At present the finite element method is a major one for product strength analysis.
LADUGA executes the following jobs :
  • finite element models development for structural analysis (strength or NVH analysis)
  • finite element models development for crash analysis (crash-tests or drop-tests)
  • finite element models development for CFD analysis
Our specialists worked out special requirements for the finite element model for solution of different tasks. Each created model is tested for meeting these requirements. The tests may be used by the request of the customer.
In order to solve the problems by the finite element method it is necessary to prepare the finite element model of the product. The complexity of the model depends on the complexity of the geometrical model and the precision requirements.

To get a qualitative model the automatic tools are not sufficient. To our regret the existing automatic end element grid generators are inadequate. They make it possible to get the shell models with triangular elements (TRIA) or solid tetrahedral models (TETRA). Such models can provide the required precision for simple problems solution only, the range of which is very narrow.
In real tasks with a complex geometry the quadrangular elements(QUAD) or hexahedral elements (HEX) should be used while the presence of the triangular elements is excluded completely or permitted in small numbers.
But the QUAD or HEXA elements do not guarantee the quality of the model yet. The elements should answer many a requirement such as the closeness of the element form to quadrangle, element congruity and the grid regularity. Very often the model geometry is simplified at the construction of the end element grid. The engineer should fully understand the processes taking place in the product to skillfully simplify the model. Besides, many companies have their own requirement for the models.

LADUGA took part in conference CADFEM–2006. The conference was in Moscow, Russia. The main problems of conference were CFD and strength. LADUGA presented report Optimization of passanger compartment framework by using linear static methods.
