Crash-tests simulation
By crash-test of car simulation several complex problems are before engineer. From solution of this problems depends accuracy of calculations.
The key factor is development of correct finite element model. Model is developed from following requirements:
Crash-test simulation
  • quality of elements
  • quality of mesh
  • simplification of geometry
  • choice of contact models
  • choice of joints
  • choice of glue, weld connections
  • time of simulation
After model creation it is necessary to test it on following conditions:
  • model must be without start penetration
  • simulation must be without loss of stability
  • the presence of the degenerate finite elements in the model
  • additional mass must be less permissible
  • hourglassing energy must be less permissible
